The New York Jets are doing a little due diligence at the quarterback position. With Tyrod Taylor out nursing a knee injury, the Jets opted to bring in a pair of veteran QBs for workouts on Thursday, sparking some understandable concern from the fanbase.
Well-traveled NFL backup quarterbacks Nathan Peterman and C.J. Beathard reportedly participated in tryouts with the Jets this week. While the team ultimately didn’t sign either, their presence alone was enough to generate groans from Jets fans who have endured more than their fair share of subpar quarterbacks over the years.
