Sean Avery isn’t here for Islanders fans’ disrespect of John Tavares

Sean Avery is trying to take John Tavares’ place as the most hated hockey player on Long Island.

The former Rangers forward, who retired in 2012 after years as one of the league’s most reviled players, blasted Islanders fans in a profanity-laced video he posted Friday for their treatment of their former captain in his return to Nassau Coliseum with the Maple Leafs Thursday night.

“F—ing New York Islanders fans calling John Tavares a snake, throwing snakes on the ice. Who the f— are they kidding?” Avery ranted. “That guy played 10 years in that f—ing dump with those sh—y fans, didn’t say a word, was a great captain, never got arrested, didn’t say f—ing boo.
