Is there a more amusing silence than that of Toronto as they are getting obliterated at home in a Game 7? I think not.
The Maple Leafs caused all their water carriers to crucify them after a 6-1 home loss in Game 5, only to give them all pause after a shutout win in Florida in Game 6.
So what happens in Game 7 at home in Toronto? Another 6-1 loss, of course. Surely Mitch Marner’s last game there as part of the Core Four as he flees for Carolina or (lol) Chicago. Possibly John Tavares’ last, too, although it seems like he may stay for a paltry salary to continue Not Every Day Pajama Dream.
