In Patriots rumors tonight, the New England Patriots are allegedly very high on former Pitt quarterback Tom Savage, even comparing the potential draft target to another Tom currently on the roster.
According to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net, the Patriots may see a lot of Tom Brady in Savage, and could have him vaulting up their draft board:
Patriots very high on Tom Savage/QB/Pittsburgh with some referring to him as "Tom #2"...more: http://t.co/QoHDz0uMxe

Per Pauline's linked article, "Savage impressed the franchise during combine interviews, especially when former Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano was on hand. Evidently Savage took responsibility for the 2011 situation when he left the Rutgers football program, which was then headed by Schiano. Both the Patriots and Schiano were impressed by Savage’s maturity in discussing his departure."
Pauline also adds that teams are quite happy with the way Savage began to limit his mistakes in 2013, showcasing growth in the position which has caused him to vault up draft boards in the past few months.
