Providence isn't often in the national spotlight, so this question tends to pop up every March. Cooley has several bald spots on the back of his head, which have led to some less than kind remarks from Twitter users.

Cooley suffers from a skin condition that results in those patches. It doesn't spread according to a Syracuse reporter and Cooley has never revealed what the exact condition is.

One possible answer for that condition is alopecia areata, the same condition that former NBA player Charlie Villanueva has. That disease can cause round patches of hair loss and even complete, total hair loss. Alopecia areata is the theory floated by lostletterman.com
