Lombard has responded to Cote's callout following the latter's victory over Josh Burkman on Saturday night in Saskatoon, Canada. According to Ariel Helwani, though, Lombard now has another welterweight opponent in mind: Rory MacDonald.
Lombard and MacDonald were slated to fight one another at UFC 186, but the bout was cancelled in February. Then in March, it was announced Lombard had failed his UFC 182 postfight drug test after his bout with Burkman.
