Vikings Free Agency News And Rumors Roundup: Andre Smith Visit, Michael Griffin Contract Details

NFL Free Agency is officially here, and the next few days will feature several Minnesota Vikings rumors. The Vikings have already made a few moves and might not be done yet. With that in mind, here are a few of the more interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Vikings

Andre Smith Will Visit
The Vikings signed OG Alex Boone earlier this offseason, but they might not be done adding offensive linemen. The team will get a visit from Andre Smith.

Smith could end up leaving Cincinnati, especially since they spent their first two draft picks last year on tackles. Smith has ties to head coach Mike Zimmer, as they were both with the Bengals.

Emmanuel Lamur Signs
The Vikings added another former Bengal by signing LB Emmanuel Lamur. It's a fairly cheap deal for the Lamur, as he gets a two-year deal worth $6 million. Lamur played under Zimmer in Cincinnati and the familiarity between the two surely helped the Vikings land him. Lamur could compete for the starting job at weakside linebacker. Worst case, he'll provide quality depth for Minnesota.

Michael Griffin Contract Details
The Vikings wanted to land George Iloka, but weren't able to do so. The team landed Michael Griffin as its backup plan, bringing the former Titans safety in on a cheap contract.

Griffin is coming off a down season in Tennessee, but this good pickup for the Vikings. It's a low-risk, high-reward move.
