3 Reasons Why Minnesota Is GUARANTEED To Beat San Diego

The Minnesota Vikings and San Diego Chargers faceoff in a battle of 1-1 teams, but only one will improve to 2-1. Here are three reasons why the Vikings are guaranteed to beat the Chargers.

Turnovers

Teddy Bridgewater doesn't have the stats that Philip Rivers has, but Bridgewater hasn't turned the ball over as often. Bridgewater has only thrown one pick, while Rivers has three. The Chargers hold a -2 turnover differential, while the Vikings are +2. The Vikings won't turn the ball over, and they'll capitalize when the Chargers do.

Adrian Peterson

Peterson had a bit of a slow start to the season, but bounced back with 29 carries for 134 yards in Week 2. He also racked up 59 yards through the air. He's one of the best RBs in the NFL and the Vikings should lean on him heavily. Peterson can carry the Vikings' offense to victory over the Chargers.

Better Defense

A quick comparison. The Vikings allowed the Lions to score 16 points, while the Chargers gave up 28. That would indicate the Vikings have a better defense. The Vikings have more talent on that side of the ball and they should outplay the Chargers defensively. They'll also force a few Chargers turnovers. Behind a strong defense and running game, the Vikings will defeat the Chargers.
