NHL Development Camp Chronicles: Kile Dons Winged Wheel

Alex Kile

University of Michigan ice hockey junior forward Alex Kile, who coming off a breakout season (13G, 13A in 36 games) in 2014-15, was invited to attend development camps in Detroit and Toronto. He has spent the past three days in Traverse City, wearing the jersey of the team he grew up rooting for, the Detroit Red Wings. Detroit's five-day camp (July 3-7) is Kile's first NHL development camp, which are designed to give rookies, prospects and invitees the experience of an NHL training camp.

The week has been an on-ice reunion of sorts with his former linemate at U-M, Dylan Larkin, who is widely regarded as the Red Wings' top prospect.
