Are You Ready To Meet The Spartans?

The 13th Annual "Meet the Spartans" Event hosted by Pepsi is scheduled for August 18th, 2015, it is rapidly approaching.  The festivities kickoff at 4:30pm and run until 8:00pm and will be hosted at Spartan Stadium for the third consecutive year. 

The "Meet the Spartans" Event has evolved and grown over the last five years, from a parking lot in downtown East Lansing to the current location, Spartan Stadium.  Attendance has grown with the success of the Spartan Football program. The Sparans have won four consecutive Bowl Games including 2014 Rose Bowl Champions and most recently the 2015 Cotton Bowl Champs. This has provided a significant boost with the "Meet the Spartans" event attendance growing by 150%.  In 2010 there were 3,000 fans in attendance, last year 15,000 Spartan Fans attended.   

The 2015 "Meet the Spartans" Event offers a wide range of activities for Spartan Fans of all ages including the Michigan State Football Players and Coach Dantonio signing autographs, Spartan Cheerleaders and Dance Team will be handing out the 2015 Spartan Football Schedule Poster.  There will be photo opportunities with Sparty, suit up for a photo in a Spartan Football Uniform, take a run across the field or become a guest commentator for the Spartan Sports Network

Don't forget about the "Taste of Spartan Stadium", wristbands can be purchased for $6 dollars at the Spartan Ticket Office located near Gate G.  You can sample everything from Chicken and Waffles to a Hot Dog, Pizza or Brat. 

It's a good idea to review the "Meet the Spartans" Schedule of Events in advance.  The Offense will be available for autographs from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, the Defense from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and Coach Dantonio from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. If you are attending for the autographs, be prepared for lines.  You can bring items in to have signed, purchase an item or have a poster autographed.
