The Kansas City Chiefs look bad every week, and it appears there is no hope in the distant future to turn them around. What the Chiefs need the most is a quarterback.
Lucky for the Chiefs there are no elite quarterbacks in this years draft (sarcasm). So they are most likely going to have to settle for the best player in the draft and not necessarily the player they need the most.
The best player in this years draft is Star Lotulelei from the University of Utah.

At defensive tackle, Lotulelei will never be an elite pass-rusher, but he is strong against the run and has the quickness and power to collapse the pocket. Regardless, he will bring 8+ sacks a year to the Chiefs defense that is nearly as bad as their offense.
Chiefs fans will probably be disappointed to pick a player number one overall that nobody has every really heard of before, but he is an elite defender regardless.
If the Chiefs really do look at their offensive woes first, look for them to trade the #1 pick and position themselves to draft either Geno Smith or Matt Barkley.
