Florida State Football Recruiting Roundup: Seminoles Among Favorites For Top Targets

The Florida State Seminoles are in the midst of spring practice in preparation for the 2016 season, but that doesn't mean head coach Jimbo Fisher & Co. have taken a step back on the recruiting trail. Here are all the latest news and rumors surrounding FSU recruiting:

4-star RB has FSU in top five
Four-star RB A.J. Dillon (Groton, MA) announced his top five schools on Twitter, and the Seminoles made the cut.

The 'Noles stand out for Dillon in particular.

"They are one of the schools I liked for a long time growing up," he said. "The football program is known for being dominant, especially the last few years. And I'm looking forward to learning more [when I visit]."

Dillon is ranked as the No. 248 overall prospect, No. 19 running back, and No. 1 player in Massachusetts in the 2017 class.

3-star CB high on Florida State after visit
Three-star cornerback Jaytlin Askew (Powder Springs, GA) visited Florida State on Friday and raved about the visit.

“It was real great, this time I brought my whole family down to see the school and they treated us well throughout the entire time,” Askew said, via 247 sports. “They are still at the top for me and will continue to be one of my favorites as I move into the rest of my recruiting,” Askew said after leaving FSU.

Askew ranks as the No. 416 overall prospect and No. 38 cornerback in the class of 2017.
