Florida Football's 4 Most Important Games Of The 2015 Season

College football's unique in that a single loss could mean the difference between a conference championship (or the ultimate regular-season goal, a College Football Playoff spot) and becoming an also-ran in the FBS ranks. With that in mind, here's our list of Florida Football's 4 Most Important Games Of The 2015 Season.

4. Ole Miss Rebels (October 3rd)

Bo Wallace is gone, but this Ole Miss squad remains one of the most talented top-to-bottom squads in the SEC. They were exposed late in 2014 as less than elite, but they’ll still present one of the toughest challenges of 2015 to the Gators. It's a key home game for new head coach Jim McElwain to show just where this program is headed under his watch,

3. @ Missouri Tigers (October 10th)

Gary Pinkel’s Tigers still aren’t getting the respect they deserve after their second-straight SEC East title, but you’d better believe that the Gators aren’t sleeping on the defending division champs. If the Gators want to reassert themselves as the cream of the East crop, here’s the road game to do it.

2. @ LSU Tigers (October 17th)

The time hasn’t been announced yet, but we have a suspicion this will be a night game because of the marquee draw of the universities involved. If so, that means the Gators have to contend with Death Valley during the witching hour. Always a tall task, and a HUGE one for the Gators in their quest for an SEC title.

1. Florida State Seminoles (November 28th)

The Seminoles are vulnerable with the departure of Jameis Winston to the NFL, but whoever wins the QB job in Tallahassee should have a full season of continuity behind them heading into this massive regular season finale. Depending on how the rest of the season goes, this is Jim McElwain’s chance to make a definitive closing statement in his first regular season at the helm in Gainesville.
