The first Detroit Red Wings game – an exhibition game – at the new Little Caesars Arena will take place Sept. 23.
The Wings released their eight-game warm-up schedule today, featuring home-and-home games with the Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins and, of course, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Wings start with three games on the road: Sept. 19 at Boston, Sept. 20 at Pittsburgh, and Sept. 21 at Chicago. The first game at the new barn is against the Bruins. The Wings also host the Penguins on Sept. 25, and the Blackhawks on Sept.
