Toronto – Another unsatisfying start led to an undesirable ending for the Red Wings.
The Red Wings again fell behind early, stormed back on a pair of Gustav Nyquist goals, but fell short 3-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
The defeat stretched the Red Wings’ (25-28-11, 61 points) winless streak to three games (0-2-1) and further dampened whatever slim playoff hopes the team has.
“It wasn’t the start we wanted,” said goalie Petr Mrazek, who had 25 saves. “It’s not easy when you’re down early in the game, especially on the road.
