Babcock on Zetterberg's will; Wings playoff streak catching up to them

TORONTO _ Even as he coaches another team in the Atlantic Division, Mike Babcock retains a deep appreciation for the Detroit Red Wings.
Babcock coached the Wings from 2005-15 before leaving to take over as bench boss of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Speaking Tuesday morning in advance of the evening game at Air Canada Centre, Babcock spoke on the competitiveness of Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg and on being part of the Wings’ history making 25 straight seasons of making the playoffs, a streak likely to end this spring.
That Zetterberg is leading the charge to make the playoffs with nine points over the previous six games is of no surprise to Babcock, who saw first hand how Zetterberg operates.
