Detroit Pistons: Backup center trade targets

Heading into the 2019-20 season, it seems the Detroit Pistons roster is as concrete as it will be.

Most teams, Detroit included, have very limited cap space and are moving forward preparing for the new season. As it appears now, the Pistons frontcourt is a little thing when it comes to backup center options.

If Andre Drummond plays 30-34 minutes-per-game at center, that leaves an opening of 14-18 minutes at the five. Blake Griffin and Markieff Morris are better off at power forward. Which leaves Thon Maker, who still has a ways to go before he can be a consistently serviceable backup, and newly signed G-League star Christian Wood, who might not make it out of training camp.
