The Detroit Pistons have reached an agreement with free agent Markieff Morris, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Morris was signed using the bi-annual exception, meaning some or all of $3.6 million.
The 6-foot-10 Morris spent last season between the Washington Wizards and Oklahoma City Thunder and can capably play both power forward and center.
Morris averaged 9.4 points and 4.6 rebounds on 42% shooting and 33.5% from 3 on 3.5 attempts per game. His offensive production has sagged over the past few seasons, but Detroit would likely give him an opportunity to bounce back and rebuild some value.
