When NHL free agency opens Monday at 11 a.m. CT, the Stars will be looking for scoring help as they try to improve on a second-round exit in the postseason in May. It should come in the form of two veteran forwards: Joe Pavelski and Corey Perry.
Pavelski, the soon-to-be 35-year-old career-long San Jose Shark, scored 38 goals last season and will sign a three-year contract worth around $7 million annually, according to multiple reports. Perry, the 34-year-old career-long Anaheim Duck, played just 31 games last season because of knee surgery and will sign a one-year contract worth $1.
