The Dallas Cowboys will be squaring up with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. Since moving to Dallas I have noticed that everyone thinks they are a Dallas Cowboys expert. Heck, even my Lyft driver was talking to me about Ezekiel Elliott and as she said: "Feed that boy cuz he hungry." So I started thinking about making an article where we can talk and interact with each other. First, let's look at the matchup tonight first. The Arizona Cardinals defense after two weeks is giving up 237.5 passing yards a game which is ranked 19th in the NFL and giving up 79 rushing yards a game which is ranked eighth in the NFL. Stats can be subjective of course but I think the Cardinals front seven has played well this year and the secondary has underperformed thus far.
Next, what do the Cowboys have to do in order to win this game? Basically the complete opposite of what they did against the Denver Broncos. They ran the ball only 14 times and passed 50 times. I think Dak Prescott is a good quarterback and we can argue on whether or not Ezekiel Elliot Quit on the Cowboys last week. Regardless in order for the Cowboys to win this game, they need to feed Elliott and keep the Cowboys defense off the field and fresh.

The last thing I looked at was how I think the game is going to go. The Cardinals haven't looked good since losing David Johnson and they almost lost to the Indianapolis Colts last week. In a game that I expect the Cowboys to be winning for most of it, this means more Elliott. I think the Cowboys try and dominate the ground game and show the NFL that they should still be feared as one of the best teams in the NFC.

So who did I vote for? I went with Elliott. It isn't a fancy pick of course but I think this game points to an Elliott game. The Cardinals are good against tight ends and I expect Dez Bryant to get Patrick Peterson. If Elliott doesn't get 20 carries tonight I would be very surprised after not getting double-digit carries last week.
