3 Players Who Must Step Up For The Dallas Cowboys To Make The Playoffs

The Dallas Cowboys have won three games in a row keeping their playoff hopes alive but have a tough test ahead against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16. This matchup is a playoff elimination game, meaning the loser will miss the playoffs and the winner stays alive for another week. If the Cowboys wants to make the playoffs, they will need these three players to step up.

1.) Dez Bryant - WR
If the Cowboys are going to beat the Seahawks, the matchup they need to exploit is wide receiver Dez Bryant against the banged-up Seattle secondary. Over the last five weeks, the Seahawks have surrendered six receiving touchdowns to wide receivers. If I could bet on one receiver on the Cowboys to score a touchdown this week, it would be Bryant. It's hard to believe that Byrant has zero 100-yard receiving games this season and only six touchdowns. He needs to extend the field, which will open up more holes for the running game and Ezekiel Elliott.

2.) Ezekiel Elliott - RB
Speaking of Elliott, he is back and ready to feast after serving his six-game suspension. The Cowboys offense will run through him and if Elliott is as good as before the suspension, the Cowboys will win their last two games. When the Cowboys can lean on their running game and control the clock, they win games because it takes pressure off of quarterback Dak Prescott. The Seahawks just surrendered four total touchdowns to Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley last week, so that's an area Dallas could look to exploit.

3.) Sean Lee - LB
When Sean Lee is on the field, he's one of the best defensive players in the NFL. He may get the responsibility of being a quarterback spy against Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who has 3,699 passing yards, 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions plus 521 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns this season. Wilson leads the Seahawks in rushing yards and if the Cowboys can contain him, they will win this game.
