TORONTO — The injury-depleted Avalanche is showing signs of what it used to be, with Mikko Rantanen and Matt Calvert back in the lineup Wednesday against the Maple Leafs and Gabe Landeskog and Andre Burakovsky likely returning Thursday at Montreal.
All four wingers participated in Tuesday’s morning skate at the Scotiabank Arena.
“It’s awesome,” star center Nathan MacKinnon said. “We’ve had some tough injuries but it’s so great to see Mikko out there and I think Gabe is playing soon. Getting Calvert back as fast as we have is surprising, but awesome.
