Here Are 3 Reasons Why Clemson Is Guaranteed To Beat Alabama In The College Football Playoff

The Clemson Tigers earned the No. 1 overall seed in the College Football Playoff by proving themselves to be the best team in the country all season long. Now comes a rematch against Alabama, and while some expect the Tide to get revenge for last season's loss, we know better. Here are three reasons why Clemson is guaranteed to beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl:

1) Alabama's slipping defense
Alabama suffered a number of injuries to their linebacking core in their win against LSU, and since then, they were dominated physically and run all over by both Mississippi State and Auburn. Considering that Clemson has one of the best rushing attacks in the entire country, the Tigers figure to have success against them as well.

2) Clemson's ability to move the ball
Since the start of the 2015 season, Alabama has only given up 40 points four times - twice to Ole Miss and twice to Clemson. The Tigers have an offense that has routinely given the Tide problems, particularly with the ability of their mobile quarterbacks to make plays on the perimeter. Nothing Alabama has done this season has shown that will change.

3) The best unit in the country belongs to Clemson
The Tigers have more NFL talent along their defensive line than any other team in the country, and that group has laid the foundation for their defensive success.  The 283.3 yards per game they allow ranks sixth in the country, but they finished the regular season ranked fourth in scoring defense (13.6 points allowed per game). In fact, they've only allowed teams to score over 17 points three times. They'll be able to eat up Alabama's one-dimensional offense.
