Growing up in the south suburbs and getting to go to a Chicago Blackhawks game once a year was a special treat. The thing that always stuck out to me was how loud the old Chicago Stadium was every time you went to a game.
I’ve been to a bunch of games at the new Stadiums and there is some manufactured noise in the buildings, and during Game 4 of last year’s playoffs Bridgestone Arena was pretty loud, but none of that reminds me of the Old Barn.
When the Hawks moved into the United Center they brought over the Madhouse on Madison Street saying with them.
