Bears QB Caleb Williams on Colston Loveland: 'When the ball goes up, I’ve got all faith in him'

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams likes what he’s seen in first-round pick Colston Loveland, who has looked sharp during training camp after having right shoulder surgery. Williams is trying to get to know the tight end, too — Loveland was among Williams’ guests on a day-off trip downtown for dinner.

“He’s smart, he knows what he’s doing,” Williams said. “He’s a young cat, so there are going to be a few mistakes, maybe hand placement. But when the ball goes up, I’ve got all faith in him.”

On Monday, the ball slipped out of Williams’ hand only for Loveland to leap and catch it over the middle.
