It's a 'dream come true' for Socceroos and Matildas players…with both sides set for historic clashes against England 20 years on from famous Aussie victory at Upton Park thanks to a Harry Kewell masterclass

Football Australia has confirmed both the Matildas and Socceroos will play matches against England in London this year.

First up will be Tony Gustavsson's squad, who will use the international friendly on April 11 in Brentford to fine-tune their preparations for the Women's World Cup on home soil come July 20.

The Lionesses will be brimming with confidence after they won the Euro Championship last year and are currently in fourth spot on the women's FIFA rankings.

And with the likes of Sam Kerr, Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley playing their club football in the UK for Chelsea and Arsenal respectively, it promises to be a fierce battle.
