What a week it has been for the Carolina Hurricanes, Caniacs. The Hurricanes came into the start of the week on Cloud Nine after defeating the Montreal Canadiens in overtime on Sunday. This excitement would be cut short, as Carolina dropped both games in a home-and home situation against the Washington Capitals.
Despite a solid effort in the matchup against the Capitals in Raleigh, the Hurricanes weren’t able to hold Alex Ovechkin and Co. at bay. Both of these games were huge, as they would’ve helped propel the Carolina Hurricanes within a Top 3 spot in the Eastern Conference.
