Mike Babcock wasn’t tossing out points for style on Saturday night.
Despite a wonky defensive effort, however, the Maple Leafs managed to give their demanding coach two points thanks to wide-open 4-2 victory against the Vancouver Canucks.
The Leafs have won three games in a row for the first time since they had a six-game winning streak under Randy Carlyle last December.
James Reimer had another solid night at the office in his seventh consecutive start in the Leafs net. A point-blank stop on Jared McCann while the Leafs were shorthanded late in third period was a highlight, and when the game was done, Reimer had made 43 saves.
