Calgary Flames Oliver Kylington broke his team’s goalless deadlock against the Toronto Maple Leafs with a tremendous end-to-end marker in the third period on Friday.
Kylington picked up the puck in his own end and skated it out of the zone before sending it over to a streaking Johnny Gaudreau at the red line. With Gaudreau in possession over the Leafs’ blue line, Kylington darted toward the net and received a leading pass with nobody but goaltender Jack Campbell in front of him.
He made no mistake, dragging the puck over to his backhand and elevating it over the sprawling Leafs netminder to give the Flames a 1-0 lead.
