TORONTO - Brooks Laich isn’t sure what he will be thinking when he walks into the Verizon Center on Wednesday.
Less than three days after Laich was acquired by the Maple Leafs from the Washington Capitals, the 32-year-old forward will face his old club when the Leafs visit the Caps on Wednesday night.
“I don’t know if I am looking forward to it,” Laich said, “and I don't know if I am not. Still the emotions are pretty heavy.
“I’m very fortunate for my time there. I’m really appreciative of the fans and the support I have received in the last couple of days and certainly over the 12 years (he was part of the organization).
