The Buffalo Sabres wasted no time this evening in beginning their roster cutdown, prior to the start of the Rochester Americans’ camp on Monday.
Timing was somewhat unexpected, with the announcement coming during the first period of Saturday night’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but the moves themselves were not surprising.
Training Camp Roster News: The Sabres have assigned goaltenders Michael Houser, Adam Wilcox, Defensemen Zach Redmond, Devante Stephens and forwards Eric Cornel, Vasily Glotov and Kevin Porter to Rochester.

All seven players sent back to Rochester were not expected to play a role for the Sabres out of camp.
