Two things happened yesterday in the world of the Buffalo Sabres.
First, the Buffalo Sabres pulled off a comeback win against the Toronto Maple Leafs, eventually defeating them 4-3 in a shootout.
This, in turn, has changed the Sabres’ odds at winning the draft lottery — and quite significantly.
If you read my post last night in which I did a draft lottery simulation, you’ll know that entering play yesterday, the Buffalo Sabres had an 8.5 percent chance at winning the draft lottery, and getting the coveted first-overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
The Leafs, meanwhile, had the best odds at winning, with a 20 percent chance.
