Jack Eichel made his debut in full Buffalo Sabres gear Thursday – sort of.
A promotional photo of the Sabres’ top draft pick in full blue Sabres gear accompanied Bauer Hockey’s announcement that Eichel had signed with the equipment manufacturer. It’s also the first time fans have seen Eichel dressed to play in No. 15 after he wore No. 41 during the team’s development camp in July.
The photo was taken during a promotional stop in Toronto last week, Eichel said Thursday in a telephone interview with The Buffalo News.
“It was pretty weird,” to get all suited up, Eichel said.
