Top early 2017 QB recruiting battles to watch

Signing day for the 2016 class is officially in the rearview mirror, but Feb. 1, 2017, will be here before you know it. With that in mind, we’re diving into next year’s quarterback class, as dominoes have already begun to fall and some of the fiercest recruiting battles will unfold for signal-callers very soon.

Of the top five dual-threat and pocket-passer quarterbacks in the 2017 class, four have already committed, with dual-threat signal-callers Kellen Mond and Tate Martell pledged to Baylor and Texas A&M, respectively, and pocket-passers Ryan Kelly and Hunter Johnson slated for Oregon and Clemson.
