Alessia Russo and Mariona Caldentey have been shortlisted in this year’s top six for the 2024/25 Women's PFA Player of the Year.
Recognising outstanding performers and voted for by players, this year’s awards will be held at Manchester Opera House on Tuesday, August 19.
The other four players on the shortlist are Erin Cuthbert (Chelsea), Mary Fowler (Manchester City), Yui Hasegawa (Manchester City), and Phallon Tullis-Joyce (Manchester United).
Russo ended the WSL season as joint top scorer with 12 goals, while Mariona registered nine goals and five assists in the topflight. The latter also scored eight goals in our UEFA Women’s Champions League-winning campaign.
