CINCINNATI - Freshman lefty Nick Zwack struck out a career-high nine and Joe Gellenbeck left the yard as Xavier baseball beat visiting Wright State, 2-0, on Tuesday at Hayden Field.
Xavier improved to 8-15 with the win, while Wright State moved to 13-9.
• Xavier returns to action this weekend in Dallas, Texas, playing Southern on Friday, March 30 at 3 p.m. before wrapping up the weekend with a pair against Dallas Baptist.
• Joe Gellenbeck went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in the eighth inning, his third of the season.
