Forward Zach Freemantle is returning to Xavier for a fifth season with the Musketeers, according to a report Monday via Twitter from @XavierManagers.
The tweet included a photo of the team's managers with Freemantle, who averaged 15.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 28.6 minutes per game in 22 games last season, including 21 starts.
Freemantle suffered a foot injury and did not play after XU's loss at Creighton in January. In March, the Muskies announced that Freemantle would have season-ending surgery on the foot. Freemantle had surgery on the same foot before the start of the 2021-22 season.
