PORTLAND, Ore. u2012 The offense carried the water on Thursday for Xavier's men's basketball team in a 90-83 win over Florida in the first round of the Phil Knight Legacy tournament at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland.
The Musketeers leaned on their experienced starters and it paid off. Souley Boum was sensational with 22 points, five rebounds and six assists. Colby Jones finally broke free offensively and exploded for a career-high 22 points, shooting 4-of-5 from 3-point range.
Jack Nunge added 16 points and nine rebounds. Zach Freemantle scored 14 points with 11 rebounds and seven turnovers.
