Naji Marshall and Tyrique Jones, two of Xavier basketball's four returning starters from last season, have been named preseason contenders for two national awards.
Marshall, a 6-foot-7 small forward from Atlantic City, New Jersey, who was named preseason first-team All-Big East Conference, was announced Wednesday to the watch list for the 2020 Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award in Division I men's college basketball by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
