QUEENS, N.Y. u2012 It got a little uncomfortable late, but Xavier's men's basketball team weathered the Red Storm from St. John's for an 84-79 win at Carnesecca Arena.
It's the seventh straight win for the Musketeers and snaps a three-game losing streak against St. John's.
Jack Nunge led Xavier with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Souley Boum added 17 points, five rebounds and six assists. Zach Freemantle had 14 points and nine rebounds, and once again, Jerome Hunter was impactful off the bench with eight points and eight rebounds.
Xavier led by as many as 18 points in the second half.
