One weekend on the Xavier University campus was apparently all it took for Musketeers head coach Chris Mack to win over transfer prospect Kerem Kanter.
Kanter, a sought-after graduate transfer out of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, announced Tuesday via Twitter he plans to see out the pre-NBA Draft process he previously declared for but will play for Xavier if he returns to the college ranks for the 2017-18 season.
Kanter averaged 11.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game at Green Bay last season.
Kanter is the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter.
