CINCINNATI --- Xavier University senior guard Trevon Bluiett has been named Second Team All-American by Sporting News. This is the first major All-America team announcement and it's expected to be the first of many national honors for Bluiett, who is on numerous watch lists for National Player of the Year and All-America honors.
On Sunday, Bluiett learned that he earned a spot on the BIG EAST Conference First Team for the third straight year. Bluiett, a unanimous First Team selection by the league coaches, is one of only 13 players in league history to earn BIG EAST First Team honors three times.
