In light of the protests across the country surrounding racial injustice following the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, many athletes have chosen to speak out publicly, and among them was Xavier University sophomore Daniel Ramsey, a 6-foot-9 forward on the men's basketball team.
"I wanted to say something so people know my stance on it and other people wouldn't feel nervous to talk about it," said Ramsey.
So he made a statement – a series of four posts – on Twitter that were personal to him and his experience as a young Black man.
