CINCINNATI --- Xavier University will kick off a celebration of 100 years of Xavier basketball and appropriately will start with the Feb. 22 game against Villanova, which comes 100 years after the first officially recorded game in Xavier history on Feb. 20, 1920. The first 1920 Xavier fans will receive a commemorative poster at the Villanova game.
"Next month we officially unveil the branding for our celebration of 100 years of Xavier Basketball memories, which will tip off this summer across the Xavier social media and other digital platforms," said Xavier University Vice President and Director of Athletics .
