FORT MYERS, Fla. - Xavier women's golf moved into first place at the BIG EAST Championships on Saturday afternoon. The three-day tournament is being held at the Club at Gateway.
The Musketeers hit eight-over-par (296) - 11 strokes better than next best team (Creighton) - on Saturday to move into first place. Xavier has a 36-hole total of 596 (+20) to rank first with one round of golf left at the conference championships.
Xavier has a six-stroke lead over Creighton with 18 holes of golf remaining. The Bluejays have posted a 36-hole total of 602 (+26).
