You couldn't reasonably ask for more from the Xavier University men's basketball team as it gets set to start Big East Conference play on the back of two big wins.
In its final pre-Big East tune-up against the Oklahoma Sooners on Wednesday, Xavier (7-0) shot the lights out at Cintas Center and dismissed the visitors convincingly, 99-77.
Xavier had three players score at least 20 points including senior Paul Scruggs (20 ), sophomore Zach Freemantle (28) and senior Nate Johnson (25).
The Musketeers shot 57 percent from the field (36 of 63) and knocked down a single-game school record 19 3-pointers on 19 of 32 shooting.
