In Travis Steele’s introductory press conference he said he intended to hit the recruiting trail the next day. He did that, landing player after player to fill in the gaps in a roster losing four seniors and, now, Kaiser Gates. Today, Steele kept his hot streak going. Thanks in large part to assistant Jonas Hayes, Xavier got a commitment from 24/7’s composite 60th ranked player in the nation, Elias King.
King is a 6-8 small forward or combo guard out of Lincoln Academy in Georgia. Right now, he’s at his best on a catch and shoot or attacking the rim, which is not uncommon for someone coming to the college level.
