Rice grad transfer Quincy Olivari committed to Xavier Sunday night. He announced the commitment on his Instagram account Sunday night and also on the Field of 68 podcast.
Olivari averaged 18.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 33.6 minutes per game last season, starting all 35 games in which he played. Olivari played in 113 games over four seasons with the Owls. He is Rice’s all-time leader in 3-pointers and a two-time all-conference selection in Conference USA.
Multiple reports had Olivari visiting Xavier over the weekend.
Among his top games last season were 28 points against Texas, who eliminated Xavier in the Sweet 16 in March, and 27 against Final Four qualifier Florida Atlantic.
