Xavier Keeps the Bats Hot and Knocks Off Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - A magical start helps Xavier stave off a furious Hoosier rally as they come away with a 12-10 victory on Saturday afternoon.

Early action favored the Musketeers, as they got on the board with an Andrew Walker double in the first. Behind stellar pitching by Trevor Olson, Xavier held the lead and was able to add in the middle innings.

With the bases loaded, Lane Flamm hit a sac fly followed immediately by a Garrett Schultz two-RBI double. In the fifth, Jerry Huntzinger hit a solo home run, and Tyler DeMartino doubled with a runner on to put Xavier up 6-0.
