A lady riding a unicycle and balancing tea cups – that's the postgame analogy Xavier head coach Chris Mack used to describe his team's performance down the stretch Saturday against the University of Utah.
It was indeed a delicate balancing act for the No. 13 Musketeers, but still one they ultimately won. In the process, Xavier (8-2) bucked several bad trends and snapped its two-game losing streak with a 77-69 victory over the Runnin' Utes (6-2) at Cintas Center. A crowd of 10,350 attended.
Box score: Xavier 77, Utah 69
"It feels a heck of a lot better to win," Mack said.
